Upcycled Vintage and Junk Jewelry ~ Making Magnets

Use old necklace and earring pieces to create fun magnets.  I found a necklace and earring set for $.50 total.  One earring was missing beads so it will be saved for another use, the chain on the necklace was reused, the necklace piece and one earring were converted into magnets.

Simply use wire cutters to cut off earring posts, or necklace attachments (use safety glasses when cutting off metal pieces).

Use a strong glue to attach a round magnet to the backside and allow to dry.  We used E6000 glue.

Note:  For this particular one, we used scrap craft foam to glue between the magnet and jewelry to add a bit of color.
